- The address has to be listed exactly as it is above or it will be sent back! (the Post Office stuff still lists rank on the address format but they don't want rank listed anymore)
- If you don't have a return address listed on the package it will be donated to charity, instead of sent back, whether the "To" address is correct or not.
- They recommend that you put a piece of paper on the top of the contents (on the inside of the box) that has the "To" and return address information. If the package gets damaged and they don't find address info on the inside it goes to charity...They also recommend that you list on the back of this paper the contents of the package so if it gets damaged everything can be collected.
- The Post Office has the flat rate boxes that are supposed to be discounted for APO addresses and they take 1-2 weeks to get there.
- Anything but Priority Mail or First Class Mail will take almost a month to get there...Flat rate boxes are probably the best way.
