Kinsey Walking Outside

We went outside to walk for a while because it is a beautiful day and I got some better video of Kinsey walking. She spent a long time with our neighbors Phil and Keri while they were walking their dog, who she loves, and then she visited every car within reach. When we got back to the house she went straight for the neighbor's shiny grill. The video is of the walk back up to our door.

Papa comes to Visit

Papa came to visit us over Labor Day weekend! Unfortunately Kinsey and I both have the flu so Papa got to spend lots of time playing with Kinsey and wiping her runny nose. He brought her birthday present from him and Mimi. Here are some pictures from the weekend...

Kyle's Combat Patch

Kyle's Troop posted pictures of the Combat Patch Ceremony in which the men who did not wear an 82nd Airborne Division Combat Patch were awarded the patch and there was a picture of Kyle getting his so I thought I would share! :o)

Sending Kyle Mail

I got word today that we can start to mail things to Kyle, yay! There are lots of things that you need to do when sending him something and I'll make a little "dos and don'ts" list below the address...

• The address has to be listed exactly as it is above or it will be sent back! (the Post Office stuff still lists rank on the address format but they don't want rank listed anymore)
• If you don't have a return address listed on the package it will be donated to charity, instead of sent back, whether the "To" address is correct or not.
• They recommend that you put a piece of paper on the top of the contents (on the inside of the box) that has the "To" and return address information. If the package gets damaged and they don't find address info on the inside it goes to charity...They also recommend that you list on the back of this paper the contents of the package so if it gets damaged everything can be collected.
• The Post Office has the flat rate boxes that are supposed to be discounted for APO addresses and they take 1-2 weeks to get there.
• Anything but Priority Mail or First Class Mail will take almost a month to get there...Flat rate boxes are probably the best way.
